Glenn Johnson, PGA Professional and Putting Coach

After leaving Chiltern Edge School Glenn joined the Army in 1987.  He served with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal Regiment in 1988 where he was based in Hong Kong for 18 months, followed by two years at Catterick Garrison. He went on exercise in Malaysia, Hawaii, Germany and in February 1991 he received his General Service Medal for a 6 month tour of duty in Northern Ireland. He played golf for the Army in Hong Kong.

After leaving the Army in May 1991 he became the Assistant to the Professional at Drayton Park Golf Club where he played in many PGA tournaments as well as Pro-Ams.

Glenn joined Hennerton Golf Club in 1993 as Head Assistant Professional to William Farrow and later that year qualified as a PGA Professional. Then in 2010 he became the Club Professional and Golf Manager for Hennerton. He is a passionate golf coach and has been coaching for over 30 years, bringing a wealth of experience from coaching beginners through to tour players.

He has been very fortunate to have attended seminars from the likes of Liam Mucklow, Pete Cowan, James Jankowski and Karl Morris. He has also on many occasions been asked by the BBC to deliver instructions and talk on golf matters.

He is fully up to date with DBS, Safeguarding and Child Protection guidelines and his current PGA grade is AAT.

Michael Critcher, PGA Professional and Putting Coach

Soon after leaving secondary school Michael went straight into the golfing world with a job at Bearwood Golf Club.  He joined Bearwood in 2008 where he became the Professionals Assistant gaining over 5 years'  experience in the golfing industry,  whilst acting as the Junior organiser.

In April 2014 Michael moved to Badgemore Park Golf Club as an Assistant PGA Professional. He passed his PGA training in 2017.  He spent three successful years as the Assistant gaining vital knowledge of the golfing industry including business management and the running of a golf club.  He gained excellent coaching experience from coaching beginners and juniors as well as seasoned touring professionals.

Michael was offered the opportunity to become the Head PGA Professional which he took with open arms after completing his PGA Training.  Although Michael looked after the whole golf side of the business his main passion is for coaching.  He has built up a very good client base during his time at Badgemore and is hoping to grow this during his time at Hennerton.

Michael also regularly competes on the PGA South Region and BB&O circuit, playing a mix of individual events and Pro-Ams,  achieving a number of top 10 finishes as well as a win at the BB&O PGA Henley Pro Am in 2018.
